Starting a fashion brand - sampling

Learning how to design my own garments from scratch has been a really interesting and challenging journey. I'm not trained in fashion design so it's all been pretty new for me - learning to work with pattern makers, factories and suppliers - is all pretty far away from my old office job.
But I really wanted to create something new. I wanted to make clothing from more sustainable sources, and support local artisans - like the British lace makers who make our trims, who've been lacemaking for nine generations - and the Spanish mills that supply our gots-certified organic fabrics.
It's been a challenge, but here's a few photos of me sampling our first collection ... and I even tried all the sleepwear on with a huge, fake baby bump (apparently sized as a large second trimester stomach) to make sure the garments have room to fit all shapes, sizes and stages of life (including pregnancy if required!)
I'd love to know what you think of our collection - feel free to message me anytime via social media or email hello@petrizzishop.com
